Giveaway Rules

  1. One winner per month.

  2. Once you win, you’re out of the running for the next 12 months. Give other folks a chance to win too, okay.

  3. It’s not technically a commission or request but I will ask you a couple of questions before starting the painting to make sure it’s something you’ll like.

  4. There ARE ways to get more (absolutely free, it doesn’t cost a single penny I’m telling you) entries.

    • Following Greathouse Paintings’ social media accounts. That alone will get you one extra entry.

    • Liking Greathouse Paintings’ social media posts on Facebook and Instagram. For EVERY reaction or like a subscriber leaves, I’ll match it with an entry. (i.e. if you leave a comment on three posts, you get three additional entries.

    • Commenting on Greathouse Paintings’ social media posts. For EVERY comment a subscriber leaves, I’ll match it with an entry. (i.e. if you leave a comment on three posts, you get three additional entries.

    • Sharing Greathouse Paintings’ Facebook posts. If you share a Greathouse Paintings post, you get FIVE additional entries per share.

  5. NO unsubscribing and re-subscribing to be entered multiple times.

  6. NO signing up with multiple email addresses to win multiple times.

  7. Just know I might block you if I catch you doing the previous two. It’s rude as heck to my other subscribers and I do my darndest to serve them well. I won’t let you disrespect them (or me) like that.

FAQs

How will you know I follow you?

Since I no longer require a name to sign up to my list, you’ll have to email me at jazz@greathousepaintings.com and tell me the Facebook account name or IG user name I should look for to give you your additional giveaway entries.

What if I hate the giveaway?

You surely can tell me that. But I put a lot of work into each piece. I can guarantee that I spend a lot of time on each painting including giveaways and cannot use more time (for free) if you hate the gift. Feel free to re-gift or throw it away. No harm no foul.

How much are non-giveaway commissions?

Whew. You’re gonna hate the answer but it depends.

A 5X7 pet portrait is $40. An 8x10 is $50 and so on.

A painting of a single person— starts at $60 for an 8x10 or smaller. Sometimes smaller sizes make the painting even more challenging.

A painting of two people? Starting at $120 minimum and goes up if you want bigger than an 8x10.

Two people and a pet? Starting at $180 minimum and goes up if you want bigger than an 8x0

Your prices are too high.

With love, go find something cheaper.

I get it. Times is tough. Etsy probably has some shops that’ll do it for cheaper.

With love, my prices really ain’t high at all. Look up other prices for custom portraits and commissioned paintings.

A lot of artists (who don’t use digital art and AI) charge $100 an hour and up.

It takes me 4 hours for an 8x10 pet portrait.

6 hours to do an 8x10 portrait of a person.

If I were to follow industry norms, I should actually be charging a LOTTTTTT more.
