Hey, I’m Jazzmin Greathouse.
I’ve always loved art but for the longest never had confidence in my own.
Then I painted the family dog I grew up with for my Daddy and ta-da Greathouse Paintings was born.
In short, God gave me a gift (Thank You, Lord!) and I feel called to serve Him and others with it.
For now, I’m doing mostly CUSTOM PAINTINGS (aka commissions).
Prints are coming soon! I’m just lacking some techy tech stuff (and skills to operate it) at the moment.
But enough about me.
Are you looking for a painting to liven up a room? Give it inspiration? Or serve as a daily reminder for yourself?
You’re here because you’re an art lover. (I’m a sucker for you already.)
Can you see the vision of a painting you want in your head?
But can’t find anything out there to hit the mark?
*Hallelujah chorus and I, Jazzmin Greathouse, float down in a beam of light and you can totally see the little harness and cables keeping me off the ground*
I got you, boo.
In the artist corner of social media, you’ll see plenty of artists complaining about commission work.
I don’t know. Maybe I’m weird. Maybe it’s just the Good Lord. (Probably that last one.)
But I really enjoy commission work for two big reasons
The piece already comes with a story (and usually a pretty great one). I don’t have to “find” a single ounce of inspiration. It’s already there. Capture the story, make the buyer happy.
I love making people happy. When somebody asks for a specific painting, gives me some reference photos, and I (as a third-party outsider) bring my own twist into the mix— more times than not, they love it. I get a rush of fulfillment and purpose. It’s quite addicting.
Anyway, I’ll always have room for commission work in my business.
I do enjoy painting for myself every now and then and as soon as I figure how to get prints available—
They’re coming.
